On Wednesday 4 March 2009, the play "Sois Belge et tais-toi" will be showing at the Auderghem cultural centre for our pleasure and in aid of En avant les enfants!
You have all heard of "Sois Belge et tais-toi"!, a success story… For the past 10 years "Sois Belge et tais-toi" - a political satire by André and Baudouin Remy - has delighted its audience. 60 000 people come to see this play every year.
You will receive in due course an invitation to reserve you tickets.
After their success in 2007 where 54 000 euros were donated by Accenture and its contributors to EALE schooling projects, the company has launched a similar project in 2008 to continue to provide education to 1500 youths in Goma in 2008/2009.
Same formula: each contributor is invited to give 40 euros and Accenture doubles the stake!
New this year! This contribution will be also used to finance a Poncho for each student!
For more information, click here for explanations on this "corporate social responsibility" project and click here to access the site where Accenture contributors can place their contributions!
We thank them!

We are very lucky that BMW Belgium has chosen to sponsor our project during the 2008 golf season! Indeed, each year BMW organises around 20 golf tournaments in the most beautiful clubs of Belgium to which it invites its business relations. This year BMW decide to ensure the financing of the new embroidery workshops of Kila Siku which are now under construction in Goma , and to offer their clients a part in this project at a cost of 30 euros per person!
After John Martin's Hotels and Accenture, this is a great example of social solidarity from BMW on behalf of the population of this hard hit region of Congo. We kindly thank BMW and all the golfers taking part in the tournament.
Philippe Dehennin, president of BMW Belgium, was in Goma on May 8th, and visited the workshops.

Thanks to Energy Assistance, a non profit making organisation from the Suez group focused on humanitarian projects specialised in the energy sector, the Don Bosco Ngangi centre, as of 21 March 2008, has electricity! Until now Ngangi only had a generator but today Ngangi is connected to the "medium voltage" network of the city of Goma thanks to an electric cable 3,5 kms long financed and installed by EA! It is a small revolution for the centre… Many thanks to Claude Gastout, to his volunteers and to EA who have carried out, against all odds … this immense building site which will also produce electricity for the whole surrounding town!
